HOW DO "SETS" WORK IN BUILT

The "Sets" field at the end of each row represents how many sets of that specific exercise / muscle group you are aiming to complete each time you workout that muscle. Only activate blocks when you've completed all your sets for that muscle group / exercise.


Example: if you workout chest twice per week and in the sets field you wrote "8" that means by the end of the week you should have completed 16 total chest sets.

SHOULD I BE ACTIVATING ALL MY BLOCKS EACH DAY?

No, you are not supposed to complete them all.

each time you workout, you should only complete however many blocks you need to reach your weekly training goal, the idea is that knowing what you did and didn't workout a couple of days prior will help you intelligently train muscles that have had the most time to rest, and let the others recover.

Example: if you spit up your training into 6 muscle groups and you want to work each muscle twice per week, then you could do one of the following:

- Workout 6 days per week hitting 2 muscle groups each day

- Workout 4 days per week hitting 3 muscle groups per day

- Workout for 3 days per week hitting 4 muscle groups per day
